WARP is the 2022 thesis exhibition of the MFA students at San Francisco State University. In collaboration with the graduate MFA students, my design team created the visual identity and designed promotional material for the exhibition.

Materiality

Imagining this project presented a unique puzzle: how to capture the tangible essence of artistic creation within a visual realm. In this exhibition, a convergence of artists who breathe life into raw materials while navigating intricate concepts came together. The blueprint emerged as a grid-based system, interwoven with the exhibition's title "WARP". The mission was clear: craft a visual identity that both claimed its own space and echoed the very heart of each artist's creation.

















A Personal Touch

To convey a sense of personality to each artist’s chapter, the artists’ statements were individually written out + scanned + vectorized.
